Hi...My name is Marge. I have severe degenerative Osteo-arthritis in my lower back and going up my spine now. My spine is now bent and my lower right side is crushed/squeezed together. I live with chronic pain 24/7. I also have COPD now.
I have been through all treatment, surgeries, pharma drugs and options available for my arthritis. I choose now to consume cannabis for my pain. I am a legal Health Canada exemptee for the herb as my medicine.

Default Hello Marge!

Welcome to CPR!

I am excited to see that you joined as I know that you are a strong woman who has strong opinions and I like that

I have heard about your struggles just trying to be recognized as disabled ! I feel for you as I was put through the ringer on disability and despite a lot of proof of my injuries and conditions they still played silly games where I was constantly cut off for random reasons I was neither told about or could control.

We all are dealing with different ailments but often the basic story is the same. If they did not put so many obstacles in peoples way, the people who were on disability would be a lot healthier and may result in them being able to work. Instead they really kill any fighting spirit you have as much as they can making it less likely for people to be able to ever return to work as who wants to go through the ringer again if you find out you cannot work and are more disabled than you thought.

I am sorry for your struggles. The positive side of things is that you will get through it all because you are so strong and you will also make public your struggle which makes others aware of what people who are disabled for life have to go through. I am sure others could benefit greatly just from taking your example of staying strong and working through the system despite it's obvious flaws. It will be a story that others can take to heart and apply to their own situation. That is where the real benefit lies, helping others get through the same situations with a little less stress.

I look forward to having you as a member of CPR and learning more about you.

Thanks for introducing yourself!!

Your bud,

Nate

Thumbs up Thrilled to see a dynamic lady

join our humble little group. Even more excited that I know her personally.

A loud WELCOME to stylingal for joining us here. Can't wait to see all the great things/perspectives I know you can add. Nice to feel some strong exemptee support here for others in chronic pain. Together we can show them that things can be a little better with cannabis.

Thanks for joining.

Default Welcome!

and thank you for sharing so much about you so soon, it does open that door a little more for others to follow. Let me introduce myself... as Nate, Mz. Nice and Dado like to call me, I am" twiggy",or the" twigster".... As Nate complemented... you are a strong Woman, to be able to get on a new forum and share what you did with us so soon shows your strength. It is not easy to do. But I have said to all these guy's, the thing I love about this forum is the education of wealth for any one suffering with any kind of Chronic Pain, if it's by reading the great articles these guy's provide for us all, sharing one another's stories and pain, giving one another encouragement when we need it the most or sharing tears of laughter, more than tears of pain...and we can be ourselves because we are all feeling the same thing and totally understand so we are more relaxed and right at home.It is nice to be somewhere and feel good! because outside of the forum we have to continue to validate our pain each and everyday and try to ignore all of the "STIGMAS" thrown at us. Here we have a bunch of compassionate great people who UNDERSTAND! It was very strong of you to admit your disabled. I think that was one of the hardest things I have ever done...especially OUTLOUD... say..."I am disabled!" I hated that word. I hate a lot of vulgar words but that was the most vulgar ever..."Did I spell Vulgar wrong? he-he...probably! OOPS!
Anyway...I always get carried away...I guess I even have the gift of gab on the threads..he-he...that might be the writer in me to. I love to write journals, short stories, poems and hopefully soon a book...that is my goal. Okay time to stop writing and finish by saying..."Hope to see more of you on the threads!" Twigster Out!.....
