"Almost all of the pain sufferers who arrive at my door are those who have already traveled a long, long road in search of something or someone who can get rid of their pain. The one thing all of these people have in common is that they haven’t given up hope.

When faced with adversity for long periods of time, it’s natural to want to call it quits. It’s times like this that we all need a few hugs and some words of wisdom. The following sage advice was written by Dr. Mercola, a natural health advocate.

“Problems are there to be faced and overcome. You cannot achieve anything with an easy life. Helen Keller was the first deaf and blind person to gain a University degree. She wrote:

How can you change your attitude toward the adversity that you face? Try these steps:

1. Confront the problem. Do not avoid it.
2. Deliberately take a positive attitude and write down some benefits or advantages of the situation.
3. Visualize how you will feel when you overcome this obstacle.
4. Develop an action plan for how to tackle it.
5. Smile and get to work..."
